Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Drop-off appointments are available

A ‘drop off’ means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours.

Usually we will ask you to drop off’ sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients.

Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

All vaccinations must be up to date

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations must be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets.

This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, American Express, cash and personal checks.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Prescription Policy

As of January 1, 2022, Lake Pine Animal Hospital will no longer approve email, fax or phone prescriptions solicitations from third-party online pet medication retailers.

Your pet’s health is and always will be our highest priority. We want to ensure that your pet receives only the safest and most effective foods, medications, and preventive care products. After January 1, we will not be responding to the phone calls, faxes or emails from any online pharmacies. If you prefer to obtain your pet’s prescriptions from a third-party online pharmacy, we will provide you with a written prescription that you can fill at the pharmacy of your choice. We should note that you will be responsible for continuing the process with your chosen pharmacy. These standardized written prescriptions ensure that the doctor’s instructions are clear and cannot be changed.

We understand that life is busy and convenience plays a huge role in wanting to order from online stores. We offer our own trusted online pharmacy partner where you can purchase medications, heartworm, flea and tick preventatives, regular and prescription foods and much more to be delivered straight to your door. Simply visit this link to create an account, then select the products you would like to order. You can set up auto-shipments if you like, and your purchases will still qualify for the same manufacturer rebates and guarantees we offer in-hospital!

We invite you to call us at (919) 380-1157 if you have any questions or concerns or would like a written prescription prepared for pick up during business hours.
