Bathing

Bathing

A common misconception among pet parents is that grooming is all about making your pet look and smell great, but the benefits are not just skin deep. Did you know that a bath and a brush out assists in controlling external parasites, soothing skin conditions, and keeping wounds clean after surgery or injury? And that’s just the beginning of the benefits.

Good grooming also helps maintain cleanliness of genital areas, prevents matting, and decreases the likelihood of your pet developing a wide array of skin conditions and allergies.

At Lake Pine Animal Hospital, we offer a full range of grooming services, including:

  • Baths
  • Nail trims
  • Ear cleaning
  • Parasite control consultation and treatment
  • Anal gland expression
  • Full groom
  • Teeth brushing & mouth rinse
  • Paw butter application
  • Mani/pedi with wide color selection
  • Spa packages

Rates & Services (Cats)

Cats have a reputation for being good self-groomers and while it’s true that many felines spend the bulk of their days licking their coats clean, they aren’t able to take care of every aspect of their hygiene by themselves. That’s where we come in.

Our basic feline grooms are $30 and include:

  • A bath
  • A nail trim
  • A brush & blow-dry

A Full Spa Groom is $70 and includes the above services, plus:

  • A pet trim or breed-specific cut using scissors/shears and clippers
  • An ear plucking and cleaning
  • External anal glands expression

We recommend you have your pet groomed every 4-6 weeks, depending on lifestyle, age, and coat. Dogs and cats will need an updated rabies vaccine prior to their appointment. Our grooming services are offered every Tuesday and Thursday! For more information about our grooming services or to book your pet’s bath time, give us a call at (919) 380-1157.
