I would like to take this season of Thanksgiving to say thank you. We have a tradition in our family at Thanksgiving where we go around the table and embarrass everyone by saying why we are thankful for them. Of course, the kids get goofy and say they are thankful because I cooked, but occasionally you get a truly thoughtful response.

I am truly grateful for the wonderful pets that our clients share with us every day. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the most loving, adorable, and friendly dogs and cats in the world. It means so much to me when they seem to understand that we really want to help them. Most start with a shy glance, but end up giving us kisses after their exam. It’s amazing how they all remember where the treats are kept and can show us every trick they know. I feel really lucky when the dogs feel comfortable enough to sit on us and the cats head-butt us while we’re talking to their families.

I am also thankful for our wonderful clients. You can see the loving connection between a family and their furry children. We hear the best stories and learn so much about the bonds shared in their family.

Finally, I want to say how thankful I am to work with the most caring and empathetic people in the world. I enjoy coming to work every day because the people I work with want to make a difference in the lives of our clients. It’s not uncommon to love animals a lot, but it is rare to find people with such caring and dedication that they will kiss your pets, laugh and cry with you and treat you a part of a family all in the same day.

I am thankful to be part of the Lake Pine Family.
