I recently graduated from veterinary school at North Carolina State University and I am so happy to be finally doing my dream job. I have lived in several places growing up, but spent the most time in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, I always knew I had a special connection with animals, but I didn’t realize I wanted to make a career out of it until later in life.

My family and I moved to North Carolina after I graduated high school in 2011 and NC has been my home ever since. I went to NC State for my undergraduate education and got a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2015. Not sure what direction I wanted to take after graduation, I took some time off and tried out a few fun jobs. The most memorable was working as a guide for horseback trail rides through Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. When I returned to North Carolina, I started working as a veterinary assistant at a local small animal hospital. It was there that I realized how much I love all aspects of veterinary medicine and I applied to veterinary school shortly after. I started veterinary school in 2017 and I was fortunate enough to get into my top choice – NC State. I then graduated in May 2021 and I am so excited to be a part of Lake Pine Animal Hospital. My favorite part about veterinary medicine is being able to make life-long connections with clients and their pets! I also really love surgery and dentistry.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Lyla. She’s a black lab mix that I rescued in 2016 and she’s the sweetest girl. My other hobbies include traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, tending to my houseplants, and going to the gym.
